A Tulsa native, Shannon became pastor of New Haven in June, 2002. He returned to Tulsa after serving six years as Associate Pastor at Victory Memorial United Methodist Church in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Shannon is married to Jan Davis of Liberal, Kansas. They met while Shannon was serving in Guymon. Shannon and Jan are kept busy with their three sons: Jacob, eleven, Solomon, seven and their youngest,  Eli Daniel, three.

They also enjoy music. Jan plays several instruments: clarinet, bass guitar, piano, and bells. Shannon plays the violin.

Shannon was born and raised in southwestern Tulsa. He attended and graduated from Jenks public schools. He has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Oklahoma State University. His Master of Divinity is from Candler School of Theology, a part of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Shannon is excited to be back in the Tulsa area and looks forward to many years of ministry at New Haven.
