Paul Mabrey, Music Director
Paul Mabrey came on staff at New Haven in July, 2006. He supervises the vocal music area for Tulsa Community College, directing various choral ensembles, teaching voice and music theory classes. He has extensive experience with church choirs, including a previous stint as the choir director of a United Methodist Church in Illinois.
Paul is a well-respected baritone who has performed with various groups throughout the Tulsa area. Paul married Cynthia McBride on September 1, 2006 and they live with their combined family in Broken Arrow.

BJ Danner, Director of Youth
BJ has been on staff at New Haven since August 2011. He has been a director of youth or college for different churches since 2005. He previously was the Bartlesville District Youth Coordinator before coming to New Haven. BJ is also a huge Cowboy’s fan because he earned his business undergrad and masters degrees from Oklahoma State University.
Along with his love for youth ministry, BJ has a passion for mission work and has been traveling internationally for more than a decade sharing the love of Christ. He even led the first Methodist youth mission team to Bolivia ever. BJ’s other love is his wife Jane. They were married in July 2012. BJ and Jane have found such joy in making this friendly church their home.

Stacey Schifferdecker, Children's Ministry Director
Stacey Schifferdecker has been a member of New Haven since 1992 and an active participant in Children's Council since her first child was born in 1994. She joined the staff as Children's Director in 2000.
Stacey is a native of Illinois, but has lived in several states. She has a B.A. in Communications and French from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas and an M.A. in Technical Writing from Oklahoma State University. She has lived in Tulsa since 1990.
Stacey is married to David, who is a copy editor for Tulsa World. They have three children: Kegan, Wyatt, and Jocelyn.
Stacey is very excited to be working with you and with your children! She wants every child to feel welcomed, loved, and safe at New Haven, and every parent to have the opportunity to participate in their child's spiritual growth. Tonya Ford, Day School Executive Director. Click here to find out more about New Haven Day School.
Tonya has been a member at New Haven since 1988. She and her husband, Bill, actually found the church by way of the Day School when they enrolled their oldest son. Shortly after that they joined the church and Tonya became very active in children's ministries and also taught at the Day School for seven years. For the next several years she served on staff as Children's Ministry Director at three area Methodist churches including New Haven. She and Bill have two sons. Jason graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2008. He is married to Angie and lives in Broken Arrow. Their younger son, Dexter, is currently attending OU. Tonya has a bachelor's degree in Family Relations and Child Development and a teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education. Her love for children and New Haven led her back to our Day School when she became Executive Director in 2008. Tonya considers it a joy and a blessing to serve alongside the wonderful people at New Haven.

Kate Scruggs, Financial Secretary
Financial Secretary of New Haven since 2002, Kate is originally from Keokuk, Iowa and was very active at Trinity United Methodist Church there. She was given the opportunity to serve as a member of the Iowa Conference Council on Youth Ministries for 6 years and chaired the council for two years. Kate graduated from Simpson College with a Bachelor's degree in Music and Management and moved to Tulsa in 1997 to work for Tulsa Opera. Kate is now employed at the Alzheimers Association of Tulsa. She is also a member of P.E.O., Mu Phi Epsilon - a professional music fraternity and Alpha Chi Omega.
Kate was married to Kevin, a native of Lawton, OK, in 2000 and they have a 4 year old son, Will.

Marcia Ferguson, Treasurer
Marcia Ferguson is our treasurer. Marcia is a CPA, and is
known as "The Tax Lady" in Mannford, where she owns an accounting business.
She has experience taking care of the books for other churches, including
United Methodist churches. If you need to discuss matters with her, she will
ordinarily be in the office on Tuesdays.
Marcia is married to Everett Ferguson and they live in
Skiatook. They have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.

Teresa Roberts, Organist
Teresa Roberts was born and raised in Tulsa and grew up attending a local Baptist church. She began taking piano lessons at the age of seven. By the time she was nine, she was playing in various capacities for her church. At the age of sixteen, she became the church pianist. She studied piano with Betty Grayson Patterson and later with Miriam Spindler Lynch. Teresa attended college at Oklahoma City University where she majored in Piano and studied piano with Dr. Clarence Burg and organ with Dr. Antoine Godding. She also graduated magna cum laude with her Master of Arts in Teaching from OCU.
After college, she returned to Tulsa and resumed her position as pianist/organist at her church, where she remained for over twenty years. In August of 2005, Teresa became the pianist/organist of New Haven United Methodist Church. Teresa has taught piano for over twenty years and her piano studio is located in her home. She is a member of Music Teachers National Association, Oklahoma Music Teachers Association, and Tulsa Accredited Music Teachers Association.

Pat Bates, Administrative Assistant
Pat Bates is the secretary at New Haven United Methodist Church. She was raised in Sapulpa from junior high age up, but moved to Tulsa after her marriage to Chuck Bates, her high school sweetheart.
They have been married for 46 years and have 3 grown children scattered around the USA. The family attended First United Methodist, Tulsa, for over 30 years and were very active there.
Pat has been a handbell ringer for 36 years and she and Chuck both have always sung in the choir. In 1996, she and Chuck moved back to Sapulpa and reconnected with their roots there by rejoining First United Methodist church of Sapulpa, where they still attend.
They have one grandson, Zachary, who is 15 years old and goes to Jenks Public School. Pat’s hobbies include knitting and gardening and she loves to travel, but her favorite day would be just hanging out with her family.

Oscar Sturgeon, Custodian
Oscar is our custodian with with a wealth of background and experience in janitorial services. He previously owned a custodial service company serving different industries in the Tulsa area.
